Where Do Celebrities Stay in Santorini?
There’s no more romantic place in the world than Santorini. With its dramatic cliffs jutting precariously out of the stark blue Mediterranean Sea, this is what dreams are made of….& where Homeric myths were born. Some even believe that Santorini was home to the Lost City of Atlantis. Due to its incredible beauty, it has attracted stars for ages: from Hugh Jackman & Beyonce, to Kim Kardashian & “Girls Next Door” star Bridget Marquardt. Here, we’ll find out: “Where Do Celebrities Stay in Santorini?”

The island’s two largest towns are Oia (in the north), & Fira (central island). Both have great restaurants & nightlife, & are each perched directly on the cliff’s edge, offering incredible view.

- Vedema Luxury Resort ($518+/night) = The Private Santorini Retreat for True A-Lister’s. Angelina Jolie has stayed in their private villa, & Beyonce stayed here during a photo shoot for her “House of Dereon” clothing line. Just know that you’re not in town at Vedema: you’re pretty far from the hustle & bustle of Fira, closer to wineries, with a more rural vibe. Great if you’re seeking privacy, but not so great if you’d like to walk to restaurants.
- Canaves Oia ($304+) = Former 17th-Century Cave Complex Turned Chic, Minimalist Resort. You had me at “Cave Resort!” Celebrities like Kendall Jenner, Jennifer Lawrence, Helen Hunt, fitness guru Lucy Mecklenburgh, & former basketball star Kobe Bryant have all stayed at Canaves Oia. Some people even call it the “#1 Most Instagrammable Hotel in the World,” & from the photos I’ll share below: you’ll see why. This is my #1 choice for a chic retreat in Santorini!
- Celestia Grand ($698+) = Where the Kardashians Stayed in Santorini! The Kardashians first visited back in 2013, staying in the resort’s Sapphire Villa. Since then, many have returned ~ whether it’s Kendall Jenner for photo shoots, or Kourtney on a romantic getaway. Many suites have private pools & terraces with sea views….making it a great place for honeymoon’ers.
- Andronis Boutique Hotel ($512+) = Another Kardashian Fave + Popular with Young Influencers. Kylie Jenner & several members of the Kardashian clan have stayed at this impossibly beautiful Santorini hotel. Famous travel blogger Kiersten Rich, aka “The Blonde Abroad” has stayed here too….which indicates how hip this hotel is with the “Young & In-the-Know” crowd. But couples honeymooning love it too. Andronis has been featured in Conde Nast, British Vogue, & Travel + Leisure: so definitely a hot spot.
- Perivolas Lifestyle Houses ($540+) = The Top-Secret Getaway for the Rich & Famous. This impeccable hotel is run by a famous Grecian family. And to their credit: they keep their high-end clientele out of the spotlight, & away from prying eyes. But everyone from the world’s leading architects, to Hollywood A-List’ers & supermodels have all stayed here….you’ll just never hear about it.

“We didn’t want to leave! Truly amazing experience at Perivolas. My husband & I were so sad to leave on our last day. The location of the hotel is perfect. Far enough away from town to enjoy peace & quiet ~ but close enough to walk there in 10 minutes. This hotel is worth the price. Truly a luxury hotel. Our favorite part was enjoying the infinity pool. “A Little Piece of Heaven in Oia. One of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The views from Canaves Oia are just breathtaking. We stayed in Suite #1, which is a 2-bedroom suite with a plunge pool & sitting deck that seems to float above the sea. Service is impeccable.ÂWe loved staying in Oia ~ it was incredibly beautiful, & unless you went to town, it wasn’t crowded. Also nice to be able to walk to restaurants. We absolutely loved our stay here.”

Where Do Celebrities Stay in Santorini?
The Greek Islands are some of my favorite places in the world….& I’ve actually been to Santorini twice. It’s as magical as it looks in photos, & it’s hard for me to imagine a more romantic place in the world.
