Where Do Celebrities Stay in Venice?
Other than France, Italy is undoubtedly the most popular country for celebrity getaways. Not only have Kardashians gotten married there (multiple Kardashians, multiple times), but during the summer: Italy turns into a playground for the rich & famous. From yachting off the coast of Capri, to strolling the streets of Rome ~ you can star-spot all over this beautiful country. But there’s one place where you’re most likely to run into celebs…& that is in romantic Venice. So let’s find out: “Where do Celebrities Stay in Venice?”
One reason so many Hollywood stars come to Venice is for their famous Film Festival ~ which is typically held in late August to early September. If you wish to stay during that time: book way in advance!

Overview of Famous Hotels in Venice…
- Aman Venice ($1,460+) = The Famous Hotel Where George Clooney Married Amal: George Clooney lives in Italy, & of all the places he could get married ~ he chose Aman Venice. Other famous guests have included Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, Emily Blunt, Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Bill Murray, Cindy Crawford, & Anna Wintour (the inspiration behind “The Devil Wears Prada“). The Aman is set in a former Renaissance palazzo, & stars pull up via their private dock…
- Belmond Hotel Cipriani ($1,350+) = The Most Popular Hotel During the Venice Film Festival: Nearly every star you can think of has been here ~ including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Brad Pitt, Meryl Streep, George Clooney (naturally), Cary Grant, Cate Blanchett, French star Catherine Deneuve, Frank Sinatra, Leonardo DiCaprio, & famous Italian screen siren, Sophia Loren. Their iconic Harry’s Bar was the first to create the “Bellini” cocktail, & their restaurants are still celebrity hot spots today.
- Gritti Palace ($2,500+) = Good Enough for Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie: Back in happier days, Brad & Angelina are rumored to have rented out one of Gritti’s most palatial suites….year-round. They wanted the room available anytime they were in town. And rooms here are indeed, fit for royalty: Princess Grace of Monaco has stayed here, as has Sir Winston Churchill, Elizabeth Taylor, Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, & famed architect, Frank Lloyd Wright.
“I mean truly, is there a better hotel in Venice than Gritti Palace? I doubt it. We were lucky to spend time here on Marriott points, & I’m spoiled now! The views, the location, the aesthetic….it’s unreal.
Upon arriving, we were greeted with champagne & open windows with gondola conductors singing below. Is there anything better?”

“Our second visit to the Cipriani Hotel was nothing short of a dream come true. Just like our first stay, it effortlessly lived up to our cherished memories. The view from our room, with the lagoon glistening under the early morning sun, was a sight to behold. It’s a visual masterpiece that is etched in our minds forever.”
