My Story

The Best Life is a Life Spent Exploring

My name is Noelle, & welcome to “Girl Who Travels the World!” I created this website originally to help female travelers particularly, overcome anxiety & fear about traveling alone. But since then, I’ve been able to help travelers of all kinds! This “Travel Resources” page is meant to be used as a jumping-off point for aspiring travelers ~ whether you’re traveling solo, taking a family vacation, or heading off for a romantic adult ski retreat. I’m here to help guide, inspire, & give you real-time travel advice!

What People are Saying

“Helped My Husband & I Plan a Romantic Getaway!”

“Omg thank you so much! Noelle provided exactly the kind of feedback & advice I was looking for. She literally answered all the indecisive thoughts & questions I had about Palm Springs! Based on her recommendations, my husband & I booked a romantic adult’s getaway to the desert: dividing our time between the La Quinta Resort & chic Villa Royale!”

– Laura L. from Detroit

“Noelle Helped Push Me Out of My Comfort Zone!”

“Noelle was instrumental in getting me out on my first girl’s trip in Latin America. We went to Cuba, Tulum (before it was trendy!), & explored ruins all over Mexico. Since that trip, I’ve been back to Latin America no less than FIVE times!! That one trip ignited a passion for the Latin culture that is truly a life-long love affair.”

– Eileen S.

“Spent the Most AMAZING Week in Paris”

“After reading several of Noelle’s articles on Paris, we took the plunge & booked a week at La Demeure Montaigne. All I can say is…WOW!! From the hotel, we walked to the Champs-Elysees, Tuilerie Gardens, & the Louvre. This was one of the best weeks of our lives, as a family. As newcomers to the city, it really helped to have the advice of someone who’s been there!

Check out these gorgeous Florence hotels that have views of the Duomo….or read about day-tripping to medieval Siena, in the Tuscan countryside. Get inspired by where celebrities stay in Italy ~ from the island of Capri to the majestic Dolomites.

France has SO many bucket-list destinations: from staying in iconic Parisian hotels with Eiffel Tower views, to jumping in turquoise waters of the Gorge du Verdon in Southern France, or traipsing through lavender fields in the warmth of July….

Oregon & California

The two states I love most & am constantly traveling through are my home states: Oregon & California. I grew up on the beaches of Southern California, but lived for many years in Palm Springs ~ & I love guiding people towards the area’s best hotels. And now, I live in Bend, Oregon: which is an outdoor-lover’s paradise….from the lakes to great hikes, I love helping people explore here.

South America

But even though I live in the States: part of my heart will always belong to South America. It’s where I became “Noelia.” I’ve left my heart many places here ~ from the peaks of Patagonia, to the Andes Mountains in Peru….especially in Cusco & at the grandest ruins in the world: Machu Picchu. Magical cities like Guatape in Colombia, & the animals of the Galapagos will always have me yearning to return….
