Where Did Hannah The Bachelorette Stay in Greece?
Where did Hannah The Bachelorette stay in Greece?? And where did she stay with Peter in that now-infamous stone windmill?! The majority of last night’s episode was filmed on the island of Crete ~ which looked sooo beautiful, my Mom said at one point, “Crete looks more beautiful than Santorini!” I’ve been to Santorini twice, & though it’s hard to imagine anywhere more beautiful….Crete may have won out last night. In this post, we’ll learn as much as we can about all the places Hannah stayed in Greece…including that mystery windmill!
GWTW Tip: For most accommodations in Crete, you’ll need a car to get there ~ click here for the best car rental rates.
Where is the famous windmill that Hannah & Peter stayed at in Greece?? We’ll find out in this post..

Where Did Hannah The Bachelorette Stay in Greece?
Typically, it’s pretty easy to figure out where “The Bachelorette” episodes film ~ because they usually mention hotels in the credits. Last night, they only mentioned the Greek Tourism Board & the Porto Elounda Golf & Spa Resort, where Hannah & Tyler had their sexy spa date. It’s a newer, more modern resort ~ so clearly, this is not the site of the stone windmill where Hannah stays with Peter later in the episode.
Porto Elounda’s oceanfront spa is where Tyler & Hannah’s date took place, & where Hannah stays during the beginning of the episode in Greece.
So Where Did Hannah & Peter Stay in a Windmill?
We know that Hannah & Peter didn’t stay at the Porto Elounda Resort: it just doesn’t fit. But the night portion of their date was held in the stunning town of Agios Nikolaus, just south of Elounda. Set at the end of a large bay, Agios Nikolaus features many five-star resorts such as the Minos Beach Art Hotel ~ but I couldn’t find any hotels there set in a windmill. Â
The beautiful coastal town of Agios Nikolaus in Crete, where Peter & Hannah had the night portion of their date, is a destination in its own right ~ windmills or not.
Aside from that, if you type in “Windmill Hotels Crete Greece,” a few come up in Google ~ the first being the Kissamos Windmills, a hotel set on the western side of the island. This is indeed a hotel set around windmills, but they don’t look anything like where Peter & Hannah stayed. There’s also a Windmill Apartments Malia, but they are clean & modern, with no stone in sight ~ so again, not it.Â
Finally, I came across a private windmill home stay, that looked much more like where Peter & Hannah stayed: it’s called, the Authentic Cretan Stone Windmill. Set right on the coast in the northeast part of the island (not far from Agios Nikolaus), this may have been where Hannah & Peter stayed….although it doesn’t look exactly the same. But it’s the closest I’ve found ~ & the good news is: YOU can stay there too!Â

We’re getting warmer….you can stay in this former stone windmill, set on the eastern side of Crete.
Of all the windmill hotel options in Crete: this villa is the closest match to where Hannah & Peter spent the night.
Where Did Hannah The Bachelorette Stay in Greece?
As for the rest of the episode: Jed & Hannah stayed in the “Royal Grand Suite” at the Elounda Peninsula All-Suite Hotel, with its sunken living room & private pool. Then, Hannah & Luke jetted off to my favorite Greek Island: Santorini. We all know how that went….& it certainly didn’t end in a “Fantasy Suite.” But just for fun, I looked up windmill hotels in Santorini, & found one: the Windmill Villa Santorini. So if you’ve got your heart set on staying a Greek windmill next summer…you’ve got options!

You can stay in this stunning windmill villa on the gorgeous cliffs of Santorini, Greece…with your own private hot tub : )
Where Did Hannah The Bachelorette Stay in Greece?
I hope you’ve enjoyed perusing some of the best windmill accommodations in Crete. Personally, I think the larger, authentic stone mill looks wayyy more fabulous than Peter & Hannah stayed ~ but hey, that’s just my personal opinion! If you’ve stayed at any of these places in Crete, let me know in the comments below?

LOVE these Bachelorette posts!! keep them coming : )
Thank you & I will! Especially for all their great international destinations! xoxo Noelia
These hotels look amazing! Have you been to Crete before? I know Santorini is more popular, but Crete looked absolutely gorgeous in this episode! I can’t believe we finally found out where Hannah had sex in a windmill…in Greece!! Have you heard any updates on exactly where the windmill is where they stayed? The option you found looks amazing though…
Hi Cynthia, thanks for your comment & questions! No, I’ve never been to Crete before, but one of my best friends lived there for a month & I met her in Santorini right after her trip! I agree, it looked STUNNING in the “Bachelorette” episode. And yes, I actually just read an update that someone DID find the exact location where Hannah & Peter had sex in a windmill (!) ~ & apparently it’s an Airbnb listing that’s available for $56/night?! I’ll update this post when I get the exact info : ) xoxo Noelia
Even though the “windmill” is getting all the buzz, I was actually a fan of where Jed & Hannah stayed during the Greece episode. Thanks for including that in your list! It looked upscale & a little more modern, & the fact that their room had a private pool as well is a huge bonus! Thanks for the article, Vanessa
You’re welcome, Vanessa ~ & I agree, those accommodations definitely looked more modern & functional than the windmill (though the windmill is of course, iconic)! Thanks for the comment, xoxo
I am the owner of the stone windmill in this article (not the one where Jed & Hannah stayed). This property is a larger property vs the Nikithianos windmill. 4 persons can comfortable stay and it located about 2 hours from Agios Nikolaos towards the eastern tip of the island. It is more suited for people looking for pristine beaches and with no hotels, beach bars or sunbeds.
Hi Pantelis! I’m so glad you found this article, & thank you for adding that information about your stone windmill. I personally thought it looked BETTER than the windmill where Hannah & Peter stayed, as it’s much larger & would allow for more comfort & more people. Thanks again for writing : ) xoxo Noelia
