Where Do Celebrities Stay in Rome?
Italy is probably the #1 country in the world for celebrity-sightings. From Tom Cruise promoting his latest “Mission Impossible” movie in Rome, to Victoria Beckham shopping in some of the city’s most fashionable streets, to young stars frolicking along the Italian coastline: this country is a veritable magnet for the rich & famous. And Rome is home base, where nearly everyone flies into ~ even major stars like Jennifer Lopez! Here, we’ll find out: “Where do Celebrities Stay in Rome?”
Though I don’t have any intel on where Kim Kardashian stays while in Rome (my guess is she rents out a private residence), I DO have intel on where she dines: at pasta-loving Dal Bolognese. Her sister, Kendall Jenner, & mom Kris love Japanese restaurant Zuma, which is inside of Karl Lagerfeld’s new hotel, Palazzo Fendi.

Where Do Celebrities Stay in Rome?
- Hotel Hassler = The Absolute A-Lister’s Hangout: Rome’s top hotel for star-spotting is luxurious Hotel Hassler ($1,280+). And its been drawing A-List’ers for decades: Audrey Hepburn, Tom Cruise, Jennifer Aniston, JFK, George Clooney, Princess Diana, Princess Grace of Monaco, Penelope Cruz, Madonna, Sharon Stone, Jon Hamm, Bruce Willis, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Jane Fonda, Frank Sinatra, & Posh Spice (aka Victoria Beckham) & her soccer star husband, David Beckham have all stayed here. It doesn’t get more top-shelf than this in Rome!
And the hotel is just a few blocks from the iconic Trevi Fountain….
- Hotel de Russie = Favorite of Russian Royalty & Rockers: Walkable to the River Tiber, & situated between two of the cities most popular plazas: Piazza del Popolo & Piazza del Spagna, Hotel de Russie ($1,238+/night) has long been linked to Russian aristocracy. Many Russian royals & the famous Russian ballet made this hotel their base, attracting visitors like Pablo Picasso. Today, rockers like Bruce Sprinsteen & Sting stay here, as do legendary playboy Leonardo DiCaprio, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Naomi Campbell, & Matt Damon. And when Taylor Swift stayed here with former boyfriend Tom Hiddleston, they rented out the Penthouse Suite.
Though the hotel’s setting isn’t quite as glamorous as Hotel Hassler’s, they do have gorgeous gardens here….
Check prices at Taylor Swift’s choice: Hotel de Russie.
- Baglioni Hotel Regina = Ideal Hotel for Quirkier Artist Sightings: Lady Gaga, Adam Driver, Jared Leto, & Al Pacino all made appearances at the Baglioni Hotel Regina ($701+/night) while filming “House of Gucci.” Gaga liked it so much, she rented out their penthouse suite for the entire three months of filming. This hotel opened in 1904, & one of its first guests was Italy’s Queen Margherita (like the pizza?!). The word “Regina” in Italian means “Queen,” & the hotel was actually named for her: she moved in after her husband was assassinated, & stayed for over two years.
George Clooney & Jennifer Lopez have both dined at the hotel’s famous restaurant, Brunello.
