Where Was White Lotus Filmed in Italy?
Jennifer Coolidge is a national treasure: let’s just put that out there at the start! Every time she comes on-screen in Season 2 of “White Lotus,” I can’t help but smile. She’s so delightfully whacky. And the fact that she sports a sensational pink frockification while being whisked away on a Vespa in the show’s publicity still is just….so….RIGHT. So far, the captivating Italian scenery is hitting the escapism mark even more than Hawaii did in Season 1. So here, we’ll find out exactly, “Where Was White Lotus Filmed in Italy?”

San Domenico Palace
Answer: The San Domenico Palace
Season 2 of the “White Lotus” is filmed at yet another Four Seasons property ~ as Season 1 was filmed at the Four Seasons Resort Maui. And this gorgeous Italian property is the Four Seasons San Domenico Palace ($1,032+/night). Set along the cliffs of Sicily’s Taormina, the Four Seasons is set in a former 14th-century convent…& you can really feel the sense of history with the hotel’s original frescoes, the odd & eerie statuettes found in each room, & the lush grounds that surround the hotel.
Some clients say that staying here is like “staying in a museum…..”
“This is the most beautiful hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Couple that with the best Four Seasons staff we’ve ever encountered, namely Beatrice at the front desk, & it was the vacation of a lifetime. The property is absolutely STUNNING. Every inch of it.”

[The San Domenico] was picturesque; filled with old-world charm. We scheduled a private driver through the hotel & were introduced to Angelo. Let’s just say, those two days were the most memorable of our trip. From driving through the mountains, up to Mt. Etna, along the coast, seeing where “The Godfather” was filmed, & even driving through the little towns of Sicily ~ it was the best way to experience it all.

Where Was White Lotus Season 2 Filmed?
If you’re looking for nearby hotels that cost less than San Domenico, here are two cliffside options: 1) Unahotels Capotaormina ($225+), whose beachside setting may be even more striking than San Domenico’s, or 2) La Plage Resort ($266+), which is also a five-star property ~ but 1/3 the cost of the Four Seasons.
