Scent is a very powerful thing. One whiff of exotic spices, & it can transport you to the hidden markets of Istanbul. Smell tropical coconuts, & it can whisk you off to your very own tropical island in the Caribbean. Scent has the power to transport us: it can make us feel like we’re on vacation, even when we’re not. And of course when we’re on vacation, or traveling, it can keep us smelling delicious ~ even in & out of airports. Enter: “Best Organic Perfumes for Travel.”Â

Best Organic Perfumes for Travel!
Perfume is typically loaded with chemicals. Don’t be surprised if your favorite perfume contains: acetone, ethanol, benzaldehyde, formaldehyde, limonene, methylene chloride, camphor, ethyl acetate, linalool, or benzyl alcohol ~ not to mention, phthalates & those pesky parabens, both of which are believed to disrupt hormone activity. If you don’t know what the hell any of these words mean, trust me: you probably don’t want them on your body!
Trying to find a great perfume can be like trying to find a needle in the proverbial haystack ~ let alone trying to find a natural one! When I moved to Portland, Oregon & set foot in one of its Whole Foods Markets (aka “Whole Paycheck”), I finally found & fell in love with the brand of my dreams: Pacifica Beauty. Now, I can’t travel or LIVE without these scents. And I stock up on my favorites, for fear that they’ll eventually be discontinued!Â

 Pacifica uses a natural grain alcohol as the base for their spray & roll-on perfumes. Their solid perfume is made from a coconut & soy-based wax. And their scents are derived from essential & natural oils sourced from around the world. The most important thing: I DON’T get a headache from their scents!! Nearly ALL perfumes give me a headache (I assume it’s my body’s reaction to any number of toxic chemicals) ~ but NONE of Pacifica’s ever have.Â
