- Q: Can you walk to restaurants from downtown hotels? A: You can ABSOLUTELY walk to many “Southern Charm” restaurants from each hotel listed here. Hyatt Place Charleston is closer to nightlife spots like Republic & By the Way, but hotels like Emeline are closer to Charleston’s famous carriage tours, great brunch spots, & other popular restaurants & bars.
- Q: Is Charleston worth visiting for Southern Charm fans? A: 100% YES!!! Charleston is amazing in its own right (I MUCH preferred it to Savannah), & an excellent destination for shopping & dining.
- Q: How many days do you need? A: At least 2-3. My friends & I spent Friday-Monday in Charleston (3 nights), & honestly: I could’ve spent another night there! There are sooo many more restaurants I/we wanted to try, & I could’ve spent even more time walking around downtown.
- Q: What’s the best hotel for a Southern Charm girls’ trip? A: Emeline Hotel is a great boutique option for girl’s trips, in a perfect downtown location. The Ryder Hotel is another one we almost stayed at ~ also right downtown. But ultimately, my friends & I chose to stay at The Beach Club at Charleston because we needed 3 rooms, & a hotel that offered more space, more value + king beds. We loved our stay there! And it was just a short, 10-minute Uber ride into town.
- Q: What’s the most romantic hotel for couples? A: The Dewberry or The Charleston Place both have upscale, romantic Charleston vibes & perfect locations. They put you right in the heart of all that Southern Charm!
