Where is Bachelor in Paradise Filmed?
Lots of things have changed with fan-favorite “Bachelor in Paradise” over the years: Chris Harrison is no longer the host, bikinis get skimpier & skimpier every year, & just recently ~ former franchise leads like Becca Kufrin actually graced the show with their presence. This year, former “Bachelorette” lead Rachel Recchia heads to the sand, hopefully to make up for her dreadful “2-in-1 Season.” But there is one thing about the show that never changes: & that’s its iconic Mexican location. Here, we’ll answer the question: “Where is Bachelor in Paradise Filmed in Mexico?!”
Not just in 2023, but in nearly every past year as well….
If you’re curious about other popular “Bachelor” filming locations, read about where Zach’s group stayed in the Bahamas, where Pilot Pete + crew stayed in Costa Rica, or one of my most popular “Bachelor” articles ever: where Arie stayed in Peru….back when the show was a lot more popular.
Map of Sayulita & Puerto Vallarta
“Bachelor in Paradise” is filmed in the same place it was last year, & the year before that: the show wouldn’t be the same without this iconic location. And that is: Playa Escondida Resort in Sayulita, Mexico. Sayulita is located one-hour north of popular Puerto Vallarta, which is where most people fly into ~ including “Bachelor” contestants.

Take a look around Bachelor in Paradise’s summer playhouse, Playa Escondida Resort. Prices start at $165/night for a “Tropical View,” & go all the way up to $495/night for a beachfront bungalow. The resort is pretty rustic, & many contestants over the years have complained about the lack of air-conditioning at night. Word is, only the “Boom-Boom Room” (aka the room where couples go to….”be together”) has AC.
Features of Playa Escondida Resort:
- Rustic, hut-style accommodations with authentic Mayan artwork;
- Canopied beds, lofts, & mini-bars;
- Terraces, hammocks, & scenic views from most rooms;
- Upgraded rooms offer patios with seating areas + hot tubs;
- Villas offer private outdoor pools;
- There’s a restaurant & bar on-site (& yes, Wells Adams runs the bar during “Paradise“);
- There are several outdoor pools, cabanas, a spa, yoga, & beach access.
More Photos of Sayulita…
To give you an idea what Sayulita is like, I enlisted the help of my friend Eileen, who visited a few summers ago with a huge group of friends! Most of the shots below were provided to me by her ~ as I’ve never visited Sayulita myself. But after looking at these pics, it’s on my list!! Many of my surfer friends visit here regularly, to surf their favorite *secret” beaches….

One final thing….some *Insider Info* on the filming of this show: when contestants are waiting to get down to the beach, they actually stay in a different hotel ~ & it’s also where many “Bachelor in Paradise” dates are held. And that is: Vidanta Resort in Vallarta Nayarit. It’s more upscale than Playa Escondida (yes, it has AC), & if you’re there during filming, you may run into some “Bachelor” producers & contestants waiting to film….
