Where Did Emily in Paris Film in Italy?
The second half of “Emily in Paris” Season 4 just dropped. And in the last two episodes, Emily FINALLY travels to Italy! There’s something about Lily Collins/Emily that is meant for Italy: with her dark brown hair, porcelain skin, bold fashion choices, & her uncanny resemblance to Audrey Hepburn (who was made famous by the movie, “Roman Holiday,” with Gregory Peck). The Italian episodes were some of my favorite of the series ~ & I wanted to know everything about where they filmed! So let’s find out where “Emily in Paris” filmed in Italy…
The “Emily in Paris” scenes filmed in Rome were so delicious ~ they made me want to book a ticket to Italy & rent a fabulous apartment in the city! (And of course, have an incredible Italian love affair…)

List of “Emily in Paris” Italian Filming Locations
The locations below are featured in the final two episodes of “Emily in Paris” Season 4, appropriately titled “Roman Holiday” & “All Roads Lead to Rome…”.
If you’re curious where the first half of the season was filmed: read this article.
- Which Hotel Does Emily Stay at in Rome? Hotel Eden. Located just steps from the Trevi Fountain (pictured above), & close to the Spanish Steps: this five-star hotel is a favorite celebrity haunt. And Sylvie loves it here too….so much so, that she crashes the party. Emily & Sylvie’s breakfast scene was filmed here at their rooftop restaurant: La Terrazza, which has amazing views of Rome. Several other scenes were filmed at Hotel Eden ~ including inside her Villa Medici Presidential Suite & in front of the hotel.
- Is Marcello’s Hometown of “Solitano” Real? No, it’s not. The charming hometown scenes were actually filmed in the tiny town of Ostia Antica, which is 35 minutes west of Rome, close to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Everytime Marcello said “Solitano,” it made me think of Positano….which is another gorgeous town on Italy’s radiant Amalfi Coast.
- Where Do Marcello & Emily Walk in Rome? The beauty of these Italian episodes is when they simply stroll the streets of Rome. Notable landmarks they pass: the Trevi Fountain (she throws coins over her shoulder here), the Spanish Steps (they canoodle & meet one of her clients here), & the Roman Ghetto (where they stroll cobble-stoned streets at night). And while they’re on Marcello’s iconic Vespa, they of course pass the city’s most famous site: the Colosseum, which was also featured in “Gladiator.”
“Fabulous meal at Hotel Eden’s La Terrezza rooftop restaurant. The sun going down over the Vatican was sublime. There were four of us having a beautiful meal, expertly aided by Alexander. My pasta was the best I’ve ever eaten.
A very special evening. Thank you so much.”
