Where Did Colton The Bachelor Stay in Portugal?
Where did Colton The Bachelor stay in Portugal?? I was dying to know the answer to this question, so I did a tad bit of research to get to the bottom of it. The “Fantasy Suites” episode turned out to be anything but a fantasy….as Tayshia got let down by Colton during their overnight (her morning-after looks were priceless), & then as Colton got massively let down by his oh-so-obvious front-runner: Cassie. It was one hell of an episode ~ but here I’m re-capping it from a travel stand-point, to find out where all this drama went down in beautiful Portugal…

Where Did Colton The Bachelor Stay in Portugal?
So if you watch the “Fantasy Suites” episode all the way to the end, including the credits, you’ll see that “The Bachelor” credits Robinson Club Quinta da Ria ($289+/night), as the “Accommodations Provided.” But when I looked it up online, it didn’t look familiar ~ it had more of an all-inclusive vibe, & I suspect that’s where the crew stayed. Then, they credited Conversas de Alpendre ($162+/night) as the “Location Provided.” And when I looked up this hotel online, I instantly recognized the outdoor patio where Colton & Cassie had their agonizing & prolonged break-up conversation.
(You’ll even recognize the white pillar Cassie stood behind while talking to a producer…)
Conversas de Alpendre
If you look up Conversas de Alpendre on Trip Advisor, you’ll find that it has a very rare, perfect rating of 5.0 stars. The highest rating I typically see, as a travel writer, is 4.5 out of 5…so I’m thinking this place is pretty special. Set slightly in the country, which is known as “Turismo Rural,” you’ll find ancient olive trees, a fresh, saltwater pool, rooms designed with Portuguese woods, & locally-sourced breakfasts awaiting at Conversas de Alpendre…
And in regards to its connection with “The Bachelor,” I knew that the hotel where Colton stayed ~ & where he famously jumps the fence, had to be somewhere with a bit of a tree-house vibe. After he says goodbye to Cassie, he climbs wooden stairs that look like they lead to an upstairs, tree-house-type room (then he later walks angrily down them again while taking off his microphone). Further, Chris Harrison notes that when he jumps the fence ~ there’s nothing out there, signifying that the hotel isn’t in the city, but rather, out in the countryside. Which Conversas de Alpendre most definitely is.
Photos of Conversas de Alpendre
Here are some more photos of the 11-room, boutique hotel Conversas de Alpendre, as well as shots of Colton’s now-infamous fence jump. Common themes among the reviews of the hotel are, it’s the “ultimate relaxation,” a “home away from home,” the “hosts are excellent,” they serve “delicious local wine,” & it’s set in a “seaside village,” close to nearby beaches. Conversas de Alpendre seems ideal for a romantic holiday or a family getaway, as many of their rooms are generously-sized, with some apartments meant to accommodate families.
Where Did Colton The Bachelor Stay in Portugal?
I hope this post has answered your burning question, “Where Did Colton The Bachelor Stay in Portugal?” And also, the question of where he fence-jumped! My mom & I can’t WAIT to see what happens in the finale on Monday & Tuesday…& call me crazy, but I just can’t see Colton ending up with anyone but Cassie. How could Tayshia or Hannah G. want to be with Colton after his showing that he’s so clearly in love with Cassie?!
Stay tuned…

I always love your articles about where “The Bachelor” or “Bachelorette” stayed! One of my favorite parts of the show is the travel aspect, and these articles give great information about the hotels where they stay. Have you ever been to Portugal yourself? Thanks! Addie
Hi Addie! Thanks for your comment ~ it’s fun to figure out where the “Bachelor” stays each year! And as for Portugal, yes I’ve been there, back in 2004 for the Euro Cup (which was held in Lisbon & the Algarve). It was CRAZY!!! The way Europeans live for & celebrate soccer is truly something to see! And Lisbon/Portugal are BEAUtiful ~ I think it’s the most underrated country in Europe. And also one of the safest (#3 in the world)! xoxo Noelia
