What Does Caroline Girvan Eat in a Day?
I’m a big fan of Caroline Girvan’s workouts on YouTube. She’s one of the most intense (but fun!) trainers on there. Her programs are challenging, well-balanced, & will help take you to your next level of fitness. I’ve completed her Iron Series, & am now in the middle of Epic Heat ~ which is a little harder! If you’re someone who loves her workouts, you might be curious: what does Caroline Girvan typically eat in a day? Because nutrition is as important as working out, if not MORE important!
She answered this question on a video I recently watched, & I’ll detail her answers below…
Something to Know About Caroline’s Diet: She’s definitely not vegan or vegetarian; she gets most of her protein from animal sources. So if you’re vegetarian & trying to follow her diet ~ you’ll need to make some substitutions.

Around the 17-minute mark in the video below, Caroline details what a typical day of eating looks like for her. Trust me: she eats plenty of food! But it’s all nutrient-dense, with a good mix of protein, carbs, & healthy fats. She does allow for some “cheats” & fun in her diet though! She loves ice cream, & occasionally has French fries with her steak, which is one of her favorite dinner meals.
A Typical Day of Eating for Caroline Girvan
- Typical Breakfast = Coffee with semi-skim milk; Egg & Bacon Breakfast Sandwich (2 eggs, 2 slices of wholegrain toast, 2 turkey rashers/bacon).
- Snack = Bowl of strawberries or blueberries, drizzle with honey + chopped almonds & O% Fage Yogurt.
- Lunch = Egg White Omelette with TONS of Spinach + Smoked Salmon.
- Snack = 2-3 Rice Cakes with a tin of Tuna, Avocado, drizzled with Sweet Chili Sauce. OR, she also loves Barebells Protein Bars (Salted Peanut is her favorite!), which can be bought on Amazon.
- Dinner = Steak with a side salad. Seabass is her favorite meal to eat out. Chicken stir-fry with LOADS of veggies is her easiest go-to for a home dinner.
- Dessert = Ice cream is her favorite (from the ice cream truck)!

Caroline often starts her morning with a breakfast sandwich! But typically doesn’t eat bread later in the day…

She might snack on some berries with yogurt & almonds, drizzled with honey.

Omelettes with lots of veggies are also a staple.

And she eats fish 2-3X per week!

Steak with veggies or a side salad is another one of her favorite dinners.
Final Tips from Caroline:
- Buy fruit & veggies every 3 days, to make sure they’re super fresh;
- Chicken & turkey are staples in her diet ~ combine them with lots of veggies;
- Eat protein with every meal;
- She keeps lots of canned fish in her pantry ~ tuna, sardines, smoked salmon, etc.
- Barebells Salted Peanut Protein Bars are some of her favorite things to snack on!
- But she also loves ice cream & French fries.
