Love is Blind Filming Locations in Mexico
“Love is Blind” is taking over “The Bachelor” as the must-watch dating show of the year. 15 men & 15 women meeting each other blindly through the walls of their individual pods, then meeting in-person AFTER they’ve gotten engaged, is simply a concept too juicy to miss! Once the couples meet face-to-face, they’re whisked away to an exotic locale: typically in Mexico’s tropical Yucatan Peninsula. Because these resorts are so beautiful, I thought it would be fun to discuss “Love is Blind Filming Locations in Mexico,” in case you want to replicate their romantic getaways….
**Author’s Note: The most recent Season 7 of “Love is Blind” was filmed in Cabo San Lucas, at the Viceroy Los Cabos. Their iconic white buildings surround a “Bird’s Nest”-looking restaurant, that was also featured in fellow Netflix show, “Selling Sunset.”
And in case you’re wondering where they filmed Season 6…read this article.
Where Did “Love is Blind” Season 5 Film?
When I originally wrote this article, Season 5 of “Love is Blind” hadn’t aired yet. But now, in September 2023, it is ~ & Season 5 actually filmed in the same place as Season 1: Grand Velas Riviera Maya. On the show, when contestants pull up to the resort, the name actually reads as Grand Velas All-Suites & Spa….but that’s just another name for Grand Velas Riviera Maya. Confusing, I know! Guests absolutely rave about this hotel, & you can read more about it below.
Check prices for all-inclusive Grand Velas Riviera Maya here.
GWTW Secret Info: One of my readers recently vacationed at TRS Yucatan in Akumal, where Season 4 of “Love is Blind” filmed. So my guess is…. Season 6 of “Love is Blind” will film their Mexico/honeymoon portion there!

- Season One of “Love is Blind“ = Grand Velas Riviera Maya Hotel ($832+/night), located just outside of Playa del Carmen. This all-inclusive resort features open & airy suites, eight restaurants (including a karaoke bar), an infinity pool, poolside bars, & a high-end spa with over 40 treatment rooms. There’s also 24/7 room service & easy beach access here. Their reviews are stellar: almost all are a perfect five-star.
- Season Two of “Love is Blind“ = TRS Coral Adults-Only Hotel ($384+/night), located in Cancun. Season 4 was also filmed at a TRS hotel ~ but it’s a different one, located in Akumal. The TRS Coral has a huge & distinctive-shaped pool, which cuts through the center of the resort, & is visible from most rooms. There are swings on a lot of the porches here, & some rooms offer a swim-up option! Take their wooden boardwalk to a beautiful white sand beach, or walk to one of their 18 bars & countless restaurants.
There’s a LOT to explore here: this is an adult’s private paradise.
“This resort blew me away! The beautiful & elegant lobby, exceptionally clean & spacious room, fantastic & attentive service from the pool & room butlers, delicious food in the restaurants, entertainment & overall experience at the [TRS Coral] was ABOVE AND BEYOND. I have never felt more relaxed & taken care of in such a magnificent & impressive hotel. I cannot say enough good things about my stay here.

- Season 3 of “Love is Blind“ = Calamigos Guest Ranch & Beach Club ($505+/night), which is set in the hilltops overlooking Malibu. Season 3 took a turn, & is the only season not filmed in Mexico. Instead, they chose a beautiful ranch located in the Santa Monica mountains, that feels a bit like a fabulously-decorated treehouse. There are vineyards, an infinity pool, chandeliers floating from huge treetop canopies, & an overall rustic yet modern vibe.
A free shuttle takes visitors down to their Beach Club & “Surf Shack.”
- Season 4 of “Love is Blind“ = TRS Yucatan Adults-Only Hotel ($321+/night), located in Akumal. Season 4 takes us back to Mexico, to yet another fabulous Yucatan resort ~ & another TRS property. This one has a more tropical feel, with thatched roofs & a Polynesian-chic vibe in the soaring main lobby. You can take boat rides around their turquoise lagoon here, which surrounds much of the property. Set slightly back from the ocean, many of the rooms have jungle views & lush trees surrounding private pools (like Chelsea & Kwame’s).
There are six bars here, ten restaurants, eight pools, a spa, & they’ve even got a beauty salon. Meaning: you hardly need to leave the hotel.
“Blissful retreat in paradise! We travelled to TRS Yucatan for our honeymoon & spent 10 beautiful nights there. The resort far exceeded our expectations, & being adults-only made for a very peaceful retreat. From the architecture & decor, to the high standard of service, to the high-quality of food ~ it really was a spectacular holiday.”– Hannah-Claire

My husband and I love getting vacation ideas from different shows we watch, and we really fell in love with the Mexican resorts shown in Love is Blind. We actually just got back from a trip to the TRS Coral Hotel, and were able to swim up to our room, then relax on our porch hammock. WHAT A DREAM!!! Thanks for this article, and presenting such a succinct list of which resorts the show filmed at. We had an amazing time!! Kaytie
Hi Kaytie, thanks so much for this feedback!! I think the TRS Coral looks amazing, and I agree that it’s great to get vacation ideas from certain TV shows! xoxo Noelia
I just left TRS Yucatan after spending 7 nights( 8/20 to 8/27)-and guess who was filming there? Love is Blind! A bit intrusive as they take up the restaurant reservations.
No way!! Haha thanks for the intel, Sandy. Besides taking up the restaurants, how did you like the resort overall? Thx, Noelia
My hubby and I were watching Love is Blind and have decided that our next couple’s trip will be to one of the Mexican Love is Blind resorts! LOL. Great article. It looks like you’ve spent a lot of time in the Yucatan, which did you like better: Playa del Carmen or Tulum?
Hi Erica, thanks for your comment & question! I think a lot of people get inspired by TV shows for travel ; ) As for your question, I really liked the vibe of Tulum more than (the more hectic) Playa del Carmen. But if you’re at one of these all-inclusives: that’s really a different story. You’ll be a little further outside of town, away from the craziness ~ & it should definitely give a more relaxed, romantic feel. I really love the ENTIRE Yucatan; it’s one of my favorite places in Mexico. Hope that helps! xoxo Noelia
