Florence lies in the Tuscany region of Italy, & to me, it’s about 100X more romantic than Paris! Last year, I visited both cities (again), & Florence blew me away, more so than Paris. Whether you’re traveling solo or with a lover, this stunning Renaissance-city will hold you in rapture ~ with its divine statues, the soaring Duomo, Boticelli’s sumptuous artwork, & hidden, romantic trattorias. But most of all: with its VIEWS!!! The views here are nearly impossible to beat….& some of the best ones lie on the River Arno. To plan the perfect Italian getaway, here are some of the “Best Hotels with River Views in Florence, Italy…”Â

Most of Florence’s river-view hotels are on the pricier side, at $400+/night. But you can find a handful under that, such as the reasonably-priced Hotel Executive ($174+). My favorite of the bunch though, is Hotel Lungarno ($591+/night), whose price is less than the St. Regis ~ but whose Italianate style & riverfront location is hard to beat…

Best Florence Hotels with Panoramic Views
I’m throwing in one more option: hotels in Florence with amazing panoramic views. One of these is located next to famed viewpoint, Piazzele Michelangelo, & I had the great pleasure of staying there. The photo below was taken from my room at the Villa La Vedetta ~ which gives you not only river views, but ones of the entire city as well.
