So you’re headed to Disneyland with the family, & you want to maximize your time & enjoyment at the park, right? Which means, when you get up in the morning, it would be nice to simply throw on a comfy outfit & walk right across the street to the park. Who wants to deal with Disney’s massive parking garage, anyway?! In this post, I’ve searched to find the very best hotels in walking distance to Disneyland ~ & I’ve got something for ALL budgets! From under $100/night (at the retro King’s Inn) to over $600 (for the pricey Grand Californian), there’s an option for everybody. Â

Closest Hotels to Disney~ & Most Expensive!
First up, we’ve got the hotels that are closest to Disneyland ~ & of course, they’re all owned by Disney! Which means, they’re PRICEY!! These hotels are: 1) Disneyland Hotel ($500+/night), & 2) Disneyland’s Paradise Pier Hotel ($400+/night), & 3) Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa ($700+/night). The first two are a 15-minute walk from the park, while the Grand Californian has direct access to California Adventure. The perks of staying at one of these hotels is, you can get into one park an hour early. For true Disney fanatics, this may be worth the hefty price tag.Â
Close to Disney ~ & Less Expensive!
1) Courtyard by Marriott Anaheim Theme Park Entrance ($250+/night) = 9-minute walk to Disneyland entrance! If you’ve got kids, & want a less expensive but still stylish option: stay at the Courtyard. My brother & his family go to Disneyland about 5X per year, & this is one of their go-to’s ~ five of us stayed in one of their rooms last time, & it was plenty big with all amenities. And the walk to Disney was SO close!! In fact, it’s a closer walk than two of the Disney hotels, so….save some money here.Â
Bonus: You can view the nightly Disney fireworks from the Courtyard by Marriott ~ minus the crowds! And, there are major water slides here…perfect for the kiddos!
2) Eden Roc Inn & Suites ($100+/night) = One-block from Disneyland entrance! One block ~ & around $100/night??! Are you kidding me?? But what do the rooms look like, you ask? Take a look at the photo below…they are SO cute! This is basically an updated motel, so it’s a little more basic than the Courtyard; there’s a pool, but no fancy water slides. But this is the perfect hotel for a family that will be at Disney all day ~ yet still wants cozy comfort when they come home.

6) Best Western Plus Anaheim Inn ($220+/night) = 10-minute walk to Disneyland! This hotel is a little more relaxed, & not quite so kid-friendly (no slides into the pool) ~ so I’m giving it my vote for best “Relaxing Adults Getaway” near Disneyland. The price is about half what you’ll pay at the Disney hotels, & yet you’re still steps away from the entrance. The hotel is highly rated with a great breakfast, to keep you fueled for your long day at Disney.
Bonus: Sore muscles after walking around Disney all day? No problem. Step into the Best Western’s outdoor hot tub, & enjoy Orange County’s warm nights year-round.
With a slightly retro vibe (on the exterior), & neutral-colored rooms, the Best Western Anaheim Plus is my choice for a more relaxing adult’s getaway to the “Happiest Place on Earth.”
7) Fairfield Inn by Marriott Anaheim ($150+/night) = 7-minute walk from Disneyland entrance! This is a great, stylish option right across the street from Disney, with bright rooms themed after the park. Kid-friendly with a game room, outdoor pool, & hot tub ~ this hotel works for both kids & adults, & is extremely close to the park entrance.

8) King’s Inn Anaheim at the Park ($85+/night) = 15-minute walk to Disneyland! It was my mission to find a hotel for less than $100/night where you could still walk to Disneyland….& you can at the King’s Inn! It’s got a retro, motel-vibe, but the rooms have been renovated inside with hardwood floors, & there’s a nice pool & hot tub outside. If you want luxury, this isn’t exactly it ~ but if budget is a concern, then it’s a great option!

This is a fantastic article!! So nice that you included hotels for all budgets, as Disneyland is already quite rough on the pocketbook! Our family discovered the Eden Roc Hotel last year, and we found it to be a great value for the price – especially being so close to Disneyland. The rooms were MUCH nicer than we’d even expected! Which is nice, because the Disneyland Hotels are simply out of our price range. Thanks for the article, and I look forward to reading more pieces and budget-friendly travel!
Wonderful, Everley! Glad that you found my site. And thank you for including your feedback on the Eden Roc Hotel near Disneyland ~ it’s hard to believe that a hotel that nice, near the park, is still around $100! Happy travels : ) xoxo
Our family’s go-to Disneyland hotel is the Courtyard Marriott. Like you say, it has all the amenities and comfort we’re looking for, and is within easy walking distance to Disneyland. Win-win. Haven’t tried any of the other hotels you mention, but we may venture out next time and try something new. Thanks
Awesome, Mark! Great feedback on the Courtyard Marriott by Disneyland ~ & agreed, it’s always fun to venture out a little & try a new spot. Happy & safe travels : )
Our family’s go-to for a hotel in walking distance to Disneyland is the Fairfield – but we’re going to try the Courtyard Marriott next time, looks like it’s a little bit closer. Excellent overview here!
Thanks for your comment ~ you can’t go wrong with either!
