Best Happy Hour Spots in La Quinta
Though I live in Bend, Oregon ~ I spend part of the year in Palm Springs: La Quinta, specifically, which is where my family lives. When it’s cold & snowy in Oregon, La Quinta during the winter months gives you that much-needed shot of sunshine that just warms the bones. And speaking of shots….my family’s restaurant, Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill just happens to be one of the “Best Happy Hour Spots in La Quinta.” Whether you’re on Highway 111 looking for a good place to grab appetizers & drinks, or in charming Old Town La Quinta: this list will cover it all…
Best Happy Hour Spots in La Quinta
I’m breaking this list into two sections: happy hour spots in Old Town La Quinta, of which there are several ~ & spots located further north, on Highway 111.
Best Happy Hour Spots in Old Town La Quinta
1. Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill, in Old Town La Quinta: Happy Hour = 3PM-6PM EVERY DAY (Available EVERYWHERE in Restaurant ~ Including To-Go). Menu Options = $5 Beers, $6 Stuft Sangria, House Margs, Well Drinks & House Wines, & $7 Mugs of Beer. 25% of ALL Small Plates including Street Tacos, Thai Noodles, Green Bean Fries, Burgers, Ahi Tuna, Date & Bacon Flatbread, & Ahi Poke Stack, + $2.50 Off Small Pizzas. This is a local’s favorite spot, & during season: happy hour CRANKS pretty much every day of the week. Come here for a *buzzing* atmosphere. The menu has a lot more than pizza ~ including TONS of salads, appetizers, pasta, & steak & seafood entrees, plus two large outdoor patios facing the mountains.
2. The Grill on Main: Happy Hour = 3PM-6PM EVERY DAY. Menu Options = $7 House Cab, Chard, & Pinot Grigio, $1 Off All Beers, & $6 Well Drinks; Appetizers like Chicken Wings, Whitefish Tacos, Chopped BLT Salad, & Truffle Tater Tots. The Grill is located right in the heart of Old Town La Quinta, with a nice covered patio (that’s pet-friendly), & a decent amount of seating inside. Food is classic American fare with some eclectic twists.
3. RD RNNR (Road Runner) Libations: Happy Hour = 2:30PM-5:30PM Sunday-Thursday (NOT on Friday & Saturday). Menu Options = $1 Off All Beers, $2 Off All Wines-by-the-Glass, & $2 Off “Pecks & Bites” like Lamb Chili, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Wings, & Popcorn. RD RNNR is the hip newer spot in Old Town, with two outdoor patios & a colorful vibe. The only downside is: their happy hour isn’t available on Friday & Saturday: but it does start early….so good for early afternoon drinkers.
4. TQLAS: Happy Hour = 3PM-6PM EVERY DAY (Except Holidays). Menu Options = $5 Margaritas & Well Drinks, $5 Beers, $2 Off Wines-by-the-Glass, & $4 Tequila Shots. Apps include Quesadilla, Nachos, & Mexican Street Corn. This is the newest spot in Old Town, & it’s got an authentic Mexican vibe & food ~ with a nice sheltered outdoor patio.
Other Mexican Restaurants by Old Town La Quinta: Casa Mendoza & El Ranchito are located just one street over from Old Town, & both are quaint & serve authentic Mexican with happy hours as well.
5. Enzo’s Bistro & Bar: Happy Hour = 3PM-7PM EVERY DAY (in Bar ONLY). Menu Options = $5 Well Drinks & Wine, $4 Beers, $7 Well Martinis.
