Best Colorado Springs Hotels for Fall Color!
I recently visited friends in South Denver, enjoying a few days of hiking in Colorado’s gorgeous Rocky Mountains. As a graduate of CU Boulder, this whole area is very special to me, & one of my favorite places to visit. And just about an hour south of Denver is the pretty city of Colorado Springs ~ which is a stunning place to witness the leaves change color, as late summer turns to autumn. Here, we’ll discuss the best Colorado Springs hotels for finding fall color!

Best Time for a Fall Colorado Springs Trip
- Best Time to See Fall Colors in Colorado Springs = October 5th-20th
Higher elevations in Colorado (like the Maroon Bells in Aspen) tend to change color earlier, due to colder nights up in the mountains. But lower-elevation cities like Colorado Springs, Denver, & Boulder tend to see later dates for leaf-changing, due to warmer late summer & fall temperatures.
Great Colorado Springs Hotels for Fall Color
-
The Broadmoor ($325+) = The Most Iconic Hotel in Colorado Springs: This luxury resort offers breathtaking views and easy access to scenic drives. The surrounding gardens and mountains are absolutely spectacular in autumn. And staying here gives you special access to an area behind the resort, called Seven Falls. My friend & I visited here in early October, & this is where we saw the BEST fall foliage colors!
-
Cheyenne Mountain Resort ($152+) = Unpretentious Resort with All Amenities + Mountain Views: Nestled against lovely Cheyenne Mountain, this resort provides natural scenery (which can be viewed from their great outdoor deck/restaurant!), & is close to hiking trails with vibrant fall foliage. They have an upscale bar, restaurant, pool & hot tub, fitness center, golf, & an outdoor fire pit ~ where you can roast s’mores & watch the stars. My friend & I enjoyed massages at Spa Alluvia here, then sipped cucumber water on their private outdoor patio with mountain views. Heavenly!
-
The Ranch at Emerald Valley ($1,000) = Upscale Out-of-Town Retreat with Lots of Outdoor Activities: If you don’t mind a drive into the mountains, & want to be immersed in nature: head to The Ranch at Emerald Valley. Rustic elegance is the theme: with horseback riding, hiking, fishing, & archery all on offer at this all-inclusive, 10-cabin resort. Because it’s all-inclusive, the up-front price tag is higher here. This property is also associated with The Broadmoor.
-
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club ($212+) = Wellness Retreat with Jaw-Dropping Views: With stunning views of Garden of the Gods (one of my favorite parks in Colorado!), this resort is perfect for enjoying fall colors while relaxing in luxury. Enjoy their Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, complimentary robes, & of course: full-service spa.
This resort is great for couples looking for a romantic getaway!
“Garden of the Gods Resort was a highlight of our recent trip to Colorado. The views were spectacular and the resort so relaxing, I did not want to leave. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The resort staff were always eager to help in any way they could.
I hope to return one day.”

We’re locals and we love the Broadmoor. Seven Falls is one of our favorite fall walks.
Thanks for your feedback, Georgia! I thought Seven Falls was so beautiful in fall too!
