Best Boutique Hotels in Condesa
Condesa is one of Mexico City’s most charming neighborhoods ~ & also one of its safest & most popular with travelers. Located south of also-popular Roma, Condesa is filled with restaurants, spas (I visited a very “Zen” one during my stay), shops, & of course: some of the city’s finest hotels. Its tree-lined streets & wide avenues make Condesa a great area for walking. So if this is where you choose to stay during your time in Mexico City, here are some of the “Best Boutique Hotels in Condesa.”
A boutique hotel is typically smaller than a chain. In elegant Condesa: I think this is the way to go. The only hotel listed that’s part of a chain is Andaz Condesa Mexico City….but its amazing rooftop bar & stylish interiors garner it a spot!
Overview of Great Hotels in Condesa
For All Budgets…
- Casa Decu ($98+/night) = Style on a Budget in Condesa: For under $100/night, you’re getting a lot of style packed into one cute hotel. Set on a pretty, tree-lined street ~ you’re walkable to restaurants, parks, gelato, & great coffee spots. Or you can enjoy coffee on their beautiful rooftop terrace (there’s no bar up there, though). There’s also no A/C: so if that’s a must, try another hotel.
- Casa Altata ($162+/night) = Tucked-Away Spot with Delicious Food: If you’re looking for amazing breakfasts & home-cooked meals ~ AND room service: book here! Tucked away in a quiet little Condesa neighborhood, this is a great spot for solo travelers, or those wanting to be in a quieter area. Rooms are well-appointed, & meals & coffee are both delicious.
- **Casa Cleo ($180/night) = Spotless Rooms, Amazing Service & Beautiful Outdoor Spaces: Alejandro is the host here, & guests RAVE about him & his attentive staff. If you want to stay in a place that feels like “home away from home” ~ stay here. Rooms are spacious & incredibly stylish, with coffee & pastries served on the rooftop terrace daily.
- **Andaz Condesa Mexico City ($284+/night) = Where You’re Most Likely to Spot Celebs in Condesa… Even though it’s part of a chain: I think this hotel is unique enough to deserve a spot. And their location in Condesa is particularly lovely ~ especially gorgeous rooftop restaurant, Cayuba. Rooms are stylish & comfortable, & there are several restaurants in the hotel…so if you want an easy walk to dinner & nightlife: this is a great choice.
- Hotel Condesa DF ($288+/night) = Gwyneth Paltrow’s Favorite Hotel in Mexico City: The triangular-shaped rooftop here is iconic (pictured below), which is one reason Condesa DF tops Goop’s list of favorite hotels in Mexico City. Rooms have flatscreens & Iphone docks, with room service available 24/7. Try their stylish French restaurant, or their famous rooftop sushi bar ~ that’s a scene unto itself. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but very stylish.
