20 Photos to Inspire Your Joshua Tree Trip!
I’d never visited Joshua Tree until just last week, despite living in Palm Springs for seven years! I’m not sure why it took me so long to visit this beautiful & desolate National Park: but it’s safe to say, I now have enough photos to fill an album! I visited the park with a good friend who happens to be a professional photographer ~ & we were literally out shooting from sunrise to well-past sunset, feeling massively inspired!! So on that note, here are “20 Photos to Inspire Your Joshua Tree Trip!”
Word of Caution
Though I’m usually very pro-solo travel, I 100% DO NOT recommend Joshua Tree as a place for solo travel, or solo hiking ~ especially during the summer months. Many people have become dehydrated while hiking in the park, & some have even died on the trail. A solo hiker was rescued just last week, in fact. Because Joshua Tree is so remote, & because daytime temps can become so hot, I strongly urge you to come prepared ~ & travel with friends here.
Prepare Before Your Joshua Tree Visit!
Joshua Tree is a very remote & desolate place. And there is NO WATER available inside the National Park!! NONE. And no phone service. So if something goes wrong, you’re shit out of luck ~ & may need to rely on rangers or fellow travelers for help. Especially in the summer months, when temperatures are EXtremely high, this can get dangerous very quickly. DO NOT visit Joshua Tree without a TON of water, & a TON of ice.

Get Prepared!
DON’T even think about entering Joshua Tree National Park without a TON of cold water!! The camel pack I’ve listed below carries two liters of water, & keeps it COOL! You won’t necessarily realize how essential this is until you’ve braved Joshua Tree on a warm day. Your water will get warm faster than you can believe. Come prepared!!!

I hope you’re feeling….INSPIRED!! I’m almost inspired to go back to Joshua Tree after looking at these photos! The adorable, frontier-like Pioneer Town is also a worthwhile & close detour ~ with the extremely popular restaurant & bar, Pappy & Harriet’s, featuring live music most nights. I’ll be writing a guide on Joshua Tree soon…so more to come on where to stay & eat! But in the meantime…
Happy & Safe Adventuring!
